Yes, but only for up to 2 hours. If a visitor is going to be parked in a permit zone for more than 2 hours, they must obtain a permit. You only need to apply for a permit once per vehicle. If a resident or guest needs to apply for a new permit or has questions, please contact parkcrestedbutte@interstateparking.com.

No, permits are free.
Residents can apply for an unlimited number of permits, with the exception of short term rental properties which are required to provide parking for their guests per their license. Employers can obtain one permit to be shared by an unlimited number of employees, however, only two employees, per business, may use their permit at a time.
Licensed vacation rentals within the Town of Crested Butte are required to provide parking as part of their short-term rental license. However, short-term rentals that have legal nonconforming insufficient parking will receive parking permits to make up for those spaces.
If a vacation rental has legal nonconforming insufficient parking resulting in a need for visitors to utilize a parking permit, please contact Park Crested Butte to arrange parking for your guests.
Anyone can park in a permit zone for up to 2 hours without a permit. If you are a contractor, property manager, landscaper, cleaner, etc. please contact parkcrestedbutte@interstateparking.com for a permit.
